Weapon Systems

The weaponry, vehicles and structures all use the following relative rating scale in determining the different attributes for them.

Rating System

Extremely Low Very Low Low	Less than 15 16 - 25 26 - 35
Low Medium Average High Medium	36 - 45 46 - 55 56 - 65
High Very High Extremely High	66 - 75 76 - 85 More than 85

The thing to remember is that for the time being, this is a relative scale. That means that an "Extremely High" rating for a vehicle and a structure will mean two entirely different things.

The following section describes the weapons used by the Terran Imperial Forces in the 2225 Elarien conflict. As most technical schematics are still classified by Imperial Forces intelligence, we unfortunately are unable to release information to the general public. Most of the following information has been obtained from Imperial Tactics press releases, and may contain errors or misleading information.

• Short Range Swivel-POD (SR SW-POD) Laser
  
  • Description:
    A standard issue laser with an integrated controller and firing mechanism. It requires a feed off the main power reactor of the the host vehicle, to allow it to recharge it's capacitors. The SR SW-POD Laser is a good as an anti-personnel weapon, but not much else.

• Medium Range Swivel-POD (MR SW-POD) Laser
  
  • Description:
    The standard issue weapon of choice, a good tradeoff between range, damage, recharge time, and ammo considerations.

    As per all vehicle laser devices, it requires a power feed off the host vehicles reactor.

• Long Range Swivel-POD (LR SW-POD) Laser
  
  • Description:
    A higher power, longer range version of the Medium Swivel-POD Laser. Although it does more damage than the MR SW-POD Laser, it's higher heat dissipation, and longer recharge periods should be an important consideration.

• Judicator MkIV [Heavy Calibre Chain Gun]
  
  • Description:
    The Judicator MkIV is the ultimate in anti-personnel / light vehicle weaponry. With a cyclic firing mechanism, it is able to fire 400 projectiles per second. It's .88 calibre shells are able to punch through light armour with ease.

    Slight modifications to this model allow the use of other types of ammunition including armour piercing and shrapnel rounds.

• Gorgon MkII [Caustic Chemical Delivery System]
  
  • Description:
    The Gorgon MkII is a weapon of terrifying proportions. It features a liquid-gel delivery system which spew forth a mixture of corrosive chemicals onto hapless victims. This mixture then sets to work dissolving flesh, bone, and armour without distinction.

    The Gorgon MkII is a marked increase over the short lived MkI design. Unfortunately the original designers used an aresol based delivery system which reeked havoc on friendly troops in a high velocity winds.

    It is rumoured that Tait and Page, the chemical research division of Hammond Intergalactic Corp. lost millions in military contracts over this blunder. It is further rumoured that engineers responsible for the first prototype are imprisoned on some remote colony, drinking their meals through a straw.
